Power Up for a Pop-up Pokémon Bar

The PokeBar experience will include snacks and battles in pop-ups across the country

What to Know

  • Common Space Brewery
  • Sept. 7 through 15, 2019
  • $55 (themed burger included, and a drink, too)

If the phrase "gotta catch 'em all" has been a northstar for you over the last three years, then you know what it is means to be light on your feet, and ready to move fast, and available to head to wherever a cadre of catchable characters have been spotted.

We're talking, of course, about Pokémon GO, the augmented reality world that's seen people stopping by parks, museums, popular destinations, and out-of-the-way spots all to see what fanciful figures they might meet through the screen of their phone.

But what if you knew exactly where to go for some powerful Pokémon action? And a savory burger that's themed to the Pokéverse, and a drink, too, as well as the chance to costume-up and do some battle?

You do, if you head to this page, which has the details on PokeBar, which is popping up across the U.S. this summer and fall.

Common Space Brewery in Hawthorne, California from Sept. 7-15, 2019.

Yet-to-be announced location in Miami, Florida Oct. 19-27, 2019.

Radegast Hall & Biergarten in Brooklyn, New York from Nov. 3-24, 2019.

Guests will "... play the real-life pop-up version of the hit game," oh yeah, "... with each session including 2 hours of hunting, battling and catching time."

There shall be prizes, woot, for best costume and trivia knowledge. DJs, themed eats, and other Poké-tastic touches will festoon each visit.

A visit that costs $55.

That includes a burger — it's "inspired" by the game — as well as a libation themed to event.

Sweet Jigglypuffs, this is really happening, but don't gaze into your screen too long, awaiting the next Bulbasaur: Tickets are on sale now, and are sure to fly as quickly as a Beedrill or Zubat.
