Links or Patties: National Restaurant Chain Conducts Election For Which Way Americas Like Their Sausage

While millions of people will be heading to the polls November 8th to pick the next President of the United States, one popular breakfast restaurant conducted their own vote about a debate that has been around longer than Clinton vs. Trump: sausage links vs. patties.

Bob Evans asked people to vote for which way they prefer their breakfast meat, with links coming out on top.

The “election” was decided along generational lines. More millennial and “Generation X” voted for links while baby boomers tended to be all about the patties. At the same time, 59 percent of women chose links while 52 percent of men felt the same way.

As a result of the election, the restaurant chain is offering every customer a free side of sausage – either your choice of links or patties – this Wednesday at participating restaurants.

You’re going to have to travel if you want that free side, however. The closest Bob Evans restaurants to South Florida are located in Naples on the west coast and Port St. Lucie on the east coast.
