Event Calendar: Make a Splash at Swim Week

An unofficial kick-off to Miami Swim Week- aptly named, Splashion, takes over Mansion Nightclub (1235 Washington Avenue) on Tuesday, July 16 from 8-11p.m. The energetic DJ Irie will be spinning as Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders show off looks from Cuban Rice, Jag, Jantzen, La Martina, My Bestfriend's Closet, and Laundry. Then Jason Derulo will be performing his new single, "The Other Side."  Cointreau cocktails and Beck's Sapphire beer will be free-flowing and a photobooth will capture the fun. Erin Una Chainani will be sketching portraits and you will enjoy treats PinkBerry, beauty sponsors and much more. Ready, Set, Swim 

 

Another Miami Swim Week event takes place at the Dream Hotel on Wednesday, July 17, when Solar swimwear presents Ready, Set, Swim to debut its 2014 collection of tan-thru swimwear. Expect a fun night of cocktails, fashion and shopping.  The party's at the Highbar, the Dream's rooftop bar and goes from 6-10 p.m. The best part is that the event is free and open to the public. For the third year in a row, Style Saves will host the Style Saves' Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser, an exclusive event at the private, Soho Beach House, on Friday, July 19 at 9 pm. Take advantage of this special event to check out one of the chicest spots in Miami while you enjoy a one-of-a-kind runway show and give back to the community at the same time.  

 

Rub elbows with 400 of Miami’s influencers while you support Style Saves’ mission of “building confidence through clothes and giving a fresh start through fashion” to local underprivileged students in South Florida. In collaboration with The Miami Foundation, Style Saves’ mission is to "imbue students with the self-confidence and assurance they need to succeed, both academically and personally."  The event will feature three back-to-back designer fashion shows, sponsored open bar and sounds by DJ RUEN. FORD models will strut the runway showcasing designers from CABANA, the beachwear trade event and looks from swim retailer ATRIUM.
