10/26: Cheerio, Monday

Film in Fort Lauderdale, football Downtown, and poker on SoBe

A FESTIVUS FOR THE RESTIVUS: The rest of us who love film, that is. The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival continues tonight with "An Englishman in New York," about a British man who finds fame in a TV series, moves to NYC and, while he's embraced by the "Champagne and peanuts circuit," is denounced by the gay community for "playing to the straights." 7:30 P.M.

POURS AND PIGSKINS: Monday Night Football happy hours are a dime a dozen. But how many give you the opportunity to win stuff? At the Hotel InterContinental, not only can you score fabo drink prices, but also the chance to win everything from spa services at the hotel to Super Bowl tickets.

KNOW WHEN TO HOLD 'EM: Just when we thought the Texas Hold 'Em craze had folded, Burger & Beer Joint and the Miami Poker Society have joined forces to host a Monday night poker tourney, where players can win a $150 bar tab as well as points that'll go toward a seat at the World Series of Poker next year. Or just go for the fries. 8:30 P.M.
