7/12: Show Me Your Hand

Poker night, french treats and late night tunes

FULL OF CREPE: There are few phrases more appealing than “all you can eat,” and none more appealing than the phrase that ends with “crepes.” If you're ignorant to these multi-faceted pancake-like treats, consider tonight a crash course. During Monday’s French Crepes night at Le Cafe Pop, choose from sweet and salty creations until your stomach says "enough." Ham, egg and cheese, tomato, mozzarella and basil and chocolate and whipped cream are among the choices. With a full bar to match, what could be better? All you can handle crepes for $17.90 a person.

SMALL STAKES: With real cash at stake, a trip to the casino can be a little too intense. On the other hand,  go-fish tournaments with grandpa just won't cut it either. So tonight and every Monday night, a new joint allows gamblers to enter a no limit Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament without losing your livelihood. The $4 buy in to the tournament promises a $150 beer tab for the winner and points towards winning a seat in next year’s World Series of Poker main event. Take a seat at the table at Burger and Beer Joint by 8:30 PM.

ITALIA ON ESPANOLA: Monday night celebrations are hard to come by, so we’ve done some research. Espanola way, known for its Latin cuisine, should not be pigeon holed. Resident Italian cuisine, like Segafredo, has earned its spot and with the help of DJ Stefano Ravasini brings a tune heavy party every Monday. Starting at 11 PM, Ravasini takes every music genre and adds his house beat. No cover.
