8/6: Oh My Stars

Show off your salsa movies, get lost in space and dance at the Road

LOST IN SPACE: Attention stoners! Or just those who want to kick back, listen to Pink Floyd/The Doors/Radiohead and count the stars in the sky? Sure, it's too hot outside and not dark enough in Miami, but the skies are clear at the Miami Science Museum's Planetarium. It's a Fabulous First Friday at the Planetarium and it'll be another laser show that will dance among the stars to the tunes of Pink Floyd at 9 p.m., The Doors at 10 p.m. and Radiohead at midnight.

LET'S SALSA: Just the thought of Isaac Delgado, La India and Tito Nieves on stage together will make you move your cadedas. Delgado brings his salsa moves straight from Cuba, Puerto Rican princess La India has taken the radio waves in South Florida for years and Tito Nieves has been nicknamed the "Pavarotti" of salsa. Does that make you want to dance? These salsa stars take the stage tonight at the James L. Knight center at 6 P.M.

INFECTIOUS BEATS: Straight out of Hialeah, Electric Piquete was voted Best Latin Band by Miami New Times in 2009, and they are jamming out at Tobacco Road tonight. 7:30-11:30 P.M.
