9/17: It's a Hialeah Thing

Hialeah via Churchill's, comedy at the Area Stage and Kings of Leon at Cruzan

IT'S A HIALEAH THING: When you hear about the Hialeah Fest happening tonight and tomorrow, you'd think it's happening in Hialeah, right? Wrong. It's a festival by Hialeans for Hialeans (and those who love them) that takes place at Churchill's. Bands performing include Humbert, Radioboxer and Jerika's Fix. Admission is $7 per day with a Facebook coupon or $10.

A PAIR OF NUTS: Yep, that's what they call themselves. If you're up for local laughs, come check out Yamil Piedra and Johnny Trabanco who have made themselves known via You Tube, Carson Daly and even on VH1. These nutty guys will take the stage on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Area Stage Theatre.

KINGS IN TOWN: With their new album coming out next month, you'll want to head up to the Cruzan Amphitheater to catch the Kings of Leon live on stage. Tickets are still available. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
