As a Philly native transported to Miami, Frank Crupi found himself longing for a Philly cheese steak but without a place to get one. In 2003 he opened his first sandwich shop called Frankie's Big City Grille and instantly gained a following of expats who had also been looking for a good hoagie.
Earlier this year he and his business partner, Mark Soyka, took over the hot dog stand Dogma Grill off of Biscayne Boulevard. Crupi has been revamping the menu to include a Chicago-style hot dog equipped with neon relish, NOLA-style fried oyster po'boys and of course, his signature Philly cheese steak.
