You can now add President Clinton to a proponent of a vegan diet. A recent CNN article reported the politician has cut eggs, dairy and practically all oil from his meals. The fact that veganism is trending is good news for Alex Cuevas, the co-founder of My Choices Cafe, a new vegan cafe opening downtown today.
Cuevas and his brother took over the space of former vegan restaurant Om Garden. Hailing from New York where all-vegan establishments are not uncommon, he is hoping to build up the veggie-community in Miami through organized events and parties that bring similar people together.
The menu is divided into three sections: "Soul"-ution, "Evo"-lution and "Raw"-volution to ease first timers into the atypical diet. The first is catered towards those accustomed to American cuisine like burgers, fries and pizzas. He makes all but it's all-vegan.
