Painting With a Twist Hosts Open House

Get ready to paint the town red ... or any color, really.

Sometimes art leaves people puzzled, turning their head sideways, and flat-out asking, “What the heck is that?” That’s when you know it’s good stuff, right?

Wrong. That’s exactly why Eric Patrick took some cues from Painting with a Twist founders Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney and opened his own branch of the franchise in a town known for art.

Combining instructional studio time with friends, wine and a lively leader, Painting with a Twist makes it possible for the average Joe (or Jane) to come in, throw on a fedora and scarf, and get all artsy-fartsy with pals.

In fact, it's not even necessary to bring tools -- instructors have everything anyone needs to have a creative night on the town.

Painting with a Twist's charming studio, located right on Biscayne Boulevard, is Patrick’s way of blending his business savvy with his love of art, using it to entertain anyone who has the urge to pick up a brush.

“The studio is designed to provide guests with a fun night out -- a chance to escape from reality while stimulating their creativity,” he says. “It’s lighthearted entertainment that merges creativity and a social gathering where friends come together to create memorable pieces of artwork.”

Stumped date nighters and budding Picassos can now try Painting with a Twist out for themselves free of charge: the studio is having an open house night Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
