Authentic Spanish Is Not a Dream

The new Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg is officially open to the public starting today. Last night’s grand opening celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony presided over by Spanish royalty and a sneak peek of the Catalan surrealist’s dreamy work in the newly housed collection. The party continues this weekend with performances by the Florida Orchestra daily and a “Family Day” on Saturday, well worth the drive north.
Prefer to stay in the city this weekend? Look to Spain in our Feast List: Something Spanish, and choose to celebrate the artist’s heritage closer to home, at restaurants that specialize in authentic Spanish fare (that’s not Cuban and not Tapas people, be certain to get your Spanish served straight up).
