Authorities found the body of a woman who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on the side of a roadway in Broward County Thursday morning.
The discovery was made on the northbound entrance ramp to Interstate 95 at Broward Boulevard.
Footage showed the body in a grassy area next to the ramp. Florida Highway Patrol officials said the woman was walking on the ramp when she was struck by a vehicle that did not stop.
FHP troopers and the Broward County Medical Examiner were at the scene. The investigation had the ramp to I-95 from Broward Boulevard westbound closed.
Officials said they had no information about the type of vehicle that hit the woman. No other information was immediately known.
