Brave New World

The New World Symphony closes the season with a bangin’ fete for friends

You have friends on Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. Now it’s time to make some friends in the real world—the real new world.

The New World Symphony is closing out its Friends of the New World Symphony season with a soiree for all cool, young music lovers.

Classic music gets hipster chic tonight at 9 p.m. at 900 Biscayne Bay when the NWS Fellows debut original compositions alongside seven-piece funk and blues band The Mysterytones.

The event, entitled Symphony & Mystery, offers up two hours of music for you to dance to as you imbibe complimentary Chopic vodka drinks, beer and hors d’oeuvres.

Plus, you can make some new friends along the way. Tickets for the event are $50, which goes toward your membership for Friends of the New World. Suddenly, your buddy list just got a lot more talented.
