Today's arrival of Street Food Friday also brought with it a new set of wheels. Thanks to Food Cart USA, our beloved "Beast," aka Sef Gonzalez—who brought us arguably one the best local burger blogs in the city (not to mention, the honorable Burgie Awards)—annointed Burger Beast Truck. It's only fitting the truck is emblematized with the phrase "In Beast We Trust," because, well, we do.
The menu specifics are still up in the air, but we know it'll be shelling out burgers from multiple chefs and restaurants like Charm City Burger Company, Burger and Beer Joint, 8 oz. Burger Bar as well as last year's Burgie Winner for best fritas, El Mago De Las Fritas. More South Floridian restaurants will also be in the mix, and possibly guest food stints from South Beach Wine & Food Festival founder Lee Schrager and celeb chef Ingrid Hoffman.
