Coffin Challenge and Hot Cheetos: A Look at What Went Viral This Week

Heinz is solving a problem I didn’t think was a problem. It’s just one of the many things that went viral this week.

Heinz announced that they are combining mayo and ketchup, creating “Mayochup.” Twitter held a poll earlier this year to see if this was something people wanted. The people spoke and it’s now available at retailers all around the country. Apparently mixing your own ketchup and mayo was too much work.

Talk about putting out a fire! Some firefighters saved the day after many people set to attend a 3-year-old’s birthday party in North Carolina canceled last minute. Most of the families invited to Jackson Reid’s birthday party canceled because their children got sick. That’s when Jackson’s mom decided to call the local fire department and ask for a quick tour. The 15 firefighters sprung into action and quickly threw him a small party complete with balloons and cupcakes. They even let him push all the buttons on the fire truck!

They’re dangerously cheesy for a reason. Rapper Lil Xan told his Instagram followers that he was hospitalized after eating too many Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Lil Xan said “It ripped something in my stomach open so I puked a little blood.” A spokeswoman for Frito Lay said that Flamin’ Hot Cheetos meet all food safety regulations and some consumers may be more sensitive to spicy foods than others.

Malea Emma, 7, knocked it out of the park this week with her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Emma performed in front of 25,000 fans ahead of the LA Galaxy soccer game earlier this week. The video was posted on Twitter and has since gotten more than 4,000,000 views.
