Cooler Temperatures Slip Away, Mid-80s Expected This Weekend

Sun and possible showers expected Saturday, Sunday

Say goodbye to cool and dry because the latest stretch of cool weather that saturated South Florida is unlikely to return until November.

Two back-to-back nights with temperatures in the 50s will soon seem like a distant memory, as muggy and possibly rainy conditions spread over the area by the weekend.

High pressure will allow for lots of sunshine Thursday and Friday, with highs in the lower 80s both days. Then the high pressure slides offshore for the weekend, with winds shifting to the southeast and south.

That will bring moisture from the Caribbean into South Florida, and a chance of showers or even thunderstorms appears in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

Weekend temperatures will reach the mid-80s each day, with nighttime lows well above 70 degrees.
