Dan Krauth

Dan Krauth, an award winning investigative journalist, joined the NBC 6 News Team in May of 2014.

His reporting in Florida has exposed government waste, caused local and state laws to be rewritten and resulted in an elected leader getting removed from office.

Dan has received an Edward R. Murrow award for his reporting along with multiple Emmy Awards and other state and local honors. The stories ranged from uncovering a growing threat to Florida’s drinking water to exposing how much empty government buildings in South Florida are costing tax payers.

Prior to joining NBC 6 Dan worked as an investigative reporter for WPTV, the NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach. He has also worked as a weekend anchor for the NBC affiliate in Fort Wayne, Indiana and reporter for WXMI in Grand Rapids. Dan started his career as a producer in Rockford, Illinois.

Dan grew up in a suburb of Detroit and graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

In his spare time, Dan enjoys being an active member of his local alumni club and exploring South Florida.
