Men Wanted in NY Homicide Lead Police on Rush-Hour Chase in Miami-Dade

The suspects are high-ranking gang members who are wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that happened earlier this month in Queens.

Two men wanted in connection with a murder in New York state led police on a high-speed chase Monday during afternoon rush hour across Miami-Dade County.

Krishon Hedge and Brandon Lee were spotted inside a white BMW, prompting a 20-minute police chase at around 5 p.m. onto the MacArthur Causeway and then onto FL-836, according to U.S. Marshals.

The pursuit ended near NW 20th Street and NW 27th Avenue in Allapattah, where police took four men in the white BMW into custody. Two of the men were eventually released.

Hedge and Lee, both 23, are high-ranking gang members who are wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that happened earlier this month in Queens, New York, authorities said.

U.S. Marshals say the two were also involved in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month in Miami Beach that involved a firefighter's truck, a Lamborghini and a Mercedes-Benz.

Lee is on parole in New York state, and Hedge is on probation in Florida, authorities said.

The men were being processed into jail Monday night, online records show.
