It's not that Critical Mass has never sounded fun to us -- weaving around Miami in great group of happy bicyclists is pretty darn cool -- it's just that it's normally held on Friday nights, when we're prepping for a night on the town (or lying facedown on a couch, unable to catch a second wind). Fortunately, there's a Critical Mass for the morning people Saturday, and it even involves a picnic. Emerge Miami is hosting the ride, which will snake through Coral Gables, the Grove, and then over the Rickenbacker Causeway to Key Biscayne's Crandon Park for a picnic. While the meal of your sun-drenched dreams is up to you and your backpack, Emerge will provide snacks. Meet up at University Station to join the 26.5-mile ride, but don't fret the distance: Critical Mass isn't a race. 10 a.m.
