NBC6 is proud to support FIU and its Women In Communication: Shattering The Ceiling Conference.
This is the Fourth Annual National Conference presented by the FIU Lillian Lodge Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women In Communication. The mission of the center is to empower both women professionals and academics in all fields of communications.
The event is free and open to the public. It is geared toward discussions around the roles and challenges of women in communication and features female leaders in the industry from across the country.
This year's event takes place on Thursday, April 4 from 8:30 AM to 4 PM at FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus - Wolf University Center Ballroom. It will also be livestreamed via this link: http://carta.fiu.edu/kopenhavercenter/live-stream/
The Morning Keynote Speaker is Dianne Festa - Senior Vice President of News Partnerships, NBC Universal New York. The Afternoon Keynote Speaker is Ellen Weiss - Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief, The E.W. Scripps Company.
Distinguished panelists will be featured throughout the day and NBC6 Reporter Stephanie Bertini will serve as host and moderator.
