Gas Prices Drop Slightly Across South Florida, Down 15 Cents Over Last Month

If you’ve noticed prices dropping slightly at the gas pump, you’re not mistaken – dropping oil costs have allowed for you to save a few cents to fill up your tank.

Prices are down just over four cents from last week per gallon, averaging just over $2.70 in Miami according to Gas Buddy. The national average has dropped over seven cents form last week with AAA reporting that gas is at a seven month low across the state of Florida.

While prices are down nearly 15 cents from this point last month, prices are still close to 20 cents higher than this point last year in South Florida – numbers just slightly below the national average in each category.

In Miami-Dade, the cheapest gallon of gas is $2.53 at both the BJ’s Wholesale store located in Hialeah and the Costco located in Miami Lakes.

In Broward, you will pay $2.43 for a gallon at the Costco located in Pompano Beach and $2.45 at the Mobil station off Nob Hill and Commercial Blvd. in Sunrise.
