Interpol Hits The Fillmore

Beach Soccer Worldwide Miami Cup 2011: The nation’s first ever FIFA Beach Soccer tournament hits the sands of South Beach, between 20th and 22nd Streets, all weekend long. Four of the world’s leading national teams -- USA, Mexico, Brazil, and Spain -- will play a round robin tournament for which admission is free. On Saturday, Spain and Mexico duel at 3:30 p.m. while the red white and blue see Brazil at 4:45 p.m.

Sleigh Bells at Mr. X: Grand Central hosts Poplife's Saturday night 'do Mr. X, and Mr. X is hosting experimental pop duo Sleigh Bells, recently signed to M.I.A.'s label N.E.E.T. Bosco Delray supports. $15 advance tickets; Doors at 9 p.m., show at 11 p.m.

Even the Rain (También la Iluvia): Spain's official submission for this year's Foreign Oscar makes its exclusive South Florida debut this weekend at Coral Gables Art Cinema. Gael Garcia Bernal is a director heading up a Spanish film crew off to Bolivia to produce a historical drama about Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World; the Washington Post says it is "graced by a lushly evocative natural setting...and fantastic performances from its gifted cast." $10, 7 and 9:15 p.m.
