JBalvin's “Energia Tour” Closes in Miami with Star-Studded Line Up of Guests

American Airlines Arena was the place to be Friday night as Colombian reggaeton superstar JBalvin closed his “Energia tour presented by Buchanan’s Whisky” right here in the Magic City.  

The 32 year-old artist who hails from Medellin, Colombia and whose real name is Jose Alvaro Osorio Balvin treated fans to a high energy filled show that included several surprises from some of his closest friends in the music biz like, Carol G, French Montana, BIA, Zion y Lennox, Bad Bunny and superstar DJ Steve Aoki.

With each performance Balvin amped up the crowd as he belted out all of his signature songs among them; “Safari,” “Bobo,” “Te Sigo Extrañando,” and “6 AM” only to slow the pace down when he sang his sexy and romantic hit “Snap Chat” to an accompanying and impressive sea of phone lights inside the arena.

The lively two hour performance included the famed “ABC” backup dancers from Cartagena Colombia, as well as an array of colorful graphic displays, pyrotechnics, a DJ and a full live band, all which helped keep fans on their feet and dancing non-stop.

The multi-platinum reggaeton star dialed up the energy one last time for the grand finale by bringing out famed Dj Steve Aoki to join him as he performed his current global Hot 100 chart topper, “Mi Gente” which features Willy Williams and Beyonce.

Before thanking his mother and grandmother who flew in from Medellin, Balvin thanked the fans for the support they have shown him during the span of his career that kicked started it all for him right here in Miami.  

“I remember that I used to come to Miami to perform at nightclubs-who could have imagined that I was going to be standing here in front of all of you today?” said Balvin.

A picture perfect moment for Balvin came at the end when close friends and guests hopped on stage to celebrate the end of a successful tour all while friend Steve Aoki served the reggaeton star with his signature “cake on the face” move as it’s costmary at each of his EDM concert performances.  

The U.S leg of Balvin’s “Energia” tour took the artist across the United States where he had seven sold out shows including one at New York’s Madison Square Garden before the grand finale right here in South Florida.
