Last Minute Valentine's Gift Ideas

Some creative Valentine's day gift giving ideas to make your woman happy

Guys, we know this is a holiday that most of you dread. But take aim with cupid's arrow, and make Valentine's day a memorable one for that special someone. Here are some not-so-trite ideas that can turn up the heat on Sunday.

Spice up this lover's holiday with a home-cooked dinner filled with aphrodesiacs. Couples can get a 3-hour private cooking lesson from award-winning Chef Phillipe Ruiz of Palme d'Or restaurant at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables (or any chef of your choice) for $500. Another option,  you can take a group cooking class at the biltmore hotel for $110 per student before the holiday.

Too much to handle? How about flowers -- but not the kind your thinking of.  If you want more bang for your buck, instead of a fresh bouquet that'll wilt away in a few days, offers an assortment of natural and preserved color-stained arrangements that last years.

And if flowers aren't her thing, try a different kind of long-stemmed treat. Long-stemmed chocolate covered strawberries. They're plumper, sweeter, and juicier. You can find them at any Kilwin's in South Florida for about 4 bucks a strawberry, depending on the weight. The Kilwin's in Pembroke Pines will even personalize this decadent delight dipped in milk or dark chocolate with hearts orsprinkles, but the edible decorations are in limited quantity.  Owner Monica Palumbo says to start placing your orders asap that way you don't have to stand in a long line on Saturday or Sunday.

So stop procrastinating men!
