NBC 6 is proud to sponsor the 18th Annual Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Parade & Festival on Saturday, June 17.
The festival commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Inn riots marking the start of modern gay-right movements. The event will have over 100 vendors and four stages showcasing local performers and entertainers. Alongside there will be bars, restaurants and flock of food vendors ready to serve.
The parade begins at 4 p.m. on Northeast 20th Street.
Several events will be held prior to the day of the parade:
On Sunday, June 11, from noon to 2 p.m., Process Bar Car Wash Fundraiser at 2440 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors.
During the afternoon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., an Equality Rally for Unity & Pride will celebrate those who support diversity and unity with a rally at Huizenga Park at 32 East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
On Wednesday, June 14, from 8 p.m. to midnight, The Stonewall Skate Night Fundraiser will be at Xtreme Action Park, 5300 Powerline Road in Fort Lauderdale, featuring live performances and craft rum.
On Thursday, June 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wilton Manors Stonewall Gala will be having an invitation only event held at Manor House, Richardson Park & Nature Preserve, 1900 Wilton Drive in Wilton Manors.
