Lockdowns Lifted at Davie Schools After Phone Threat

Lockdowns at Nova High School and Middle School were lifted Monday after a threat was deemed to be not credble, Davie Police officials said.

Officers responded to both schools after the threat was reportedly phoned in. Nova Southeastern University said there was no threat to the college.

Police said the lockdowns were a precaution and there was no credible threat. Nearby Nova Eisenhower Elementary and Nova Blanche Foreman Elementary were also on modified lockdown as a precaution.

No other details were immediately known.

On Friday, officers responded to Nova High after a student stabbed a classmate with scissors during a fight on a school bus, officials said.
