South Florida Wakes to Chilly Weather

Thursday temps below average as wind chill advisory is issued

South Floridians woke up to wind chills in the 30s Thursday morning, but the good news is the cold snap won't last.

The combination of temperatures in the 40s and blustery winds prompted a Wind Chill Advisory through 9 a.m. Thursday, as temperatures slowly rose into the low 60s by the afternoon.

After the passage of a cold front earlier this week, northerly winds caused temperatures to fall below average.

Temps are supposed to dip back into the low 50s Thursday night, but Friday should be more pleasant with temps in the low 70s.
