The Day We Went Back To Reality

We're still in recovery mode from the South Beach Wine & Food Fest, but expect a few video clips to surface so you can see what we were up to behind the scenes. For those of you who did not get to join in on the action live, we hope you were able to live vicariously through our Grand Tasting tidbits and our coverage of the BubbleQ.

Today's headlines were scattered all over the map. We've still got media talking about the Burger Bash, even though we're gladly taking a hiatus from red meat consumption for the time being. In other SBWFF news, we got the scoop on some highlights from Best of the Best (since we stuck with BubbleQ), we heard it was a huge success and the food and wine selection wasn't too shabby either. So, Daniel Boulud spent his time as an honoree and restaurateur this weekend, locking in the design and concept behind db Moderne Bistro, which opens next fall in the JW Marriott Marquis Miami (more on this tomorrow morning). Chef Boulud might have been the guest of honor last Saturday, but there's a new elite dinner series in town and, apparently, you're not invited. It seems Chef Jeremiah Bullfrog (gastroPod Miami) is one of the chefs that will be presiding over the debut of an upcoming 30-person Supper Salon series, where Miami glitterati will gather to gush at a private dinner behind closed doors.
