At Least 4 Attacked on Venetian Causeway

Police are looking for a suspect who attacked at least four people Monday on the Venetian Causeway.

Miami police received a call at around 7:40 p.m. reporting that a person was being assaulted in the area of 890 North Venetian Drive.

Fire officials found an elderly man, possibly in his 80's, with minor injuries and another man in his 40's with possible stab wounds, according to police.

A man on the Venetian Causeway came in contact with a vehicle traveling eastbound, but later walked and harassed and assaulted the older man, fire rescue said. What led up to the assault and details on the man's injuries were not immediately available.

Police said a good Samaritan tried to intervene, but he sustained injuries.

Both victims were hospitalized, with the first man in serious condition and the other man expected to recover. Information on the other two victims' conditions was not immediately available.

The eastbound lanes of the Venetian Causeway were shut down as authorities investigated.

This is a developing story.
