What You're Doing Tonight, 3/17

Green beer, more green beer and a dog named Bolt

KISS ME, I’M PRETENDING TO BE IRISH: Even if there isn’t a drop of Irish blood in your body (and in Miami, chances are there isn’t), grab your green garb and get ready to get your drink on at John Martin’s Restaurant & Irish Pub’s street fair. Bono won’t be in town, but a U2 tribute band will be on tap to crank out some Irish tunes on Miracle Mile. 4 p.m.

GO GREEN: Still have a hankering for green beer? (You may need some green Advil tomorrow.) The Irish Times is shutting down a portion of Sunset Drive for its second annual St. Patrick’s Day festival. And the party will be going strong with rock performances, libations and a jig or two until the wee hour of the morning, laddie. 6 p.m.

MAKE IT A MOVIE NIGHT: If the thought of leprechauns scares your socks off, check out a St. Patty’s Day alternative like the CollegeTown’s free screening of “Bolt,” the Oscar-nominated animated feature about a dog on a mission. If the voice of Mittens sounds all too familiar (Susie Essman), just picture her hurling insults at Larry David’s bald head. 6:30 p.m.
