What You're Doing Tonight, 7/16

Dinner and a show, art and Brazilian beats

BRUTALLY TASTEFUL: For those of you who don't have a hook up to the fashion shows this week, you can still enjoy a good show at "Fuerza Bruta" at the Adrienne Arsht Center, one of the best performances going on right now in Miami. Enjoy dinner before or after the show at a handful of fabulous places with a prix-fixe menu of only $47/person. Some of the participating restaurants in Fuerza Bruta's Dine & Play include Badrutt's Place, Quattro, Fratelli Lyon and Scarpetta. Even more, all prix-fixe diners will get a reduced ticket price.

CATS AND DOGS: Calling all art and animal lovers! Head to the Miami International University of Art and Design tonight for the opening reception of "Like Cats and Dogs," where local artists, students and faculty will present their latest works. Not only will you get to enjoy the artwork, but all proceeds will go to two different animal shelters. Although the exhibit will run through August 14th, today will be the only day of on-site pet adoption until 5 p.m.

BEAT TO YOUR OWN DRUM: If you're looking for something new, something different and something sultry tonight, head to Bova Prime in Ft. Lauderdale. There, you'll find live entertainment -- Brazilian dancers, vibrant drummers and a DJ. Drinks flowing, hips swinging and drums beating... this spot may be as hot as Miami itself!
