1 Dead in Lauderhill House Fire: Officials

One person is dead after a house fire in Lauderhill Sunday afternoon, officials said.

Units on scene reported the fire was through the roof of the Forest Lake Estates home on the 4900 block of NW 67 Avenue, according to Lauderhill Fire Rescue.

Officials did not release the identity of the victim, but said the house was ravaged after multiple ceiling collapses.

While it is too soon to say what caused the fire, Lauderhill Fire Rescue Captain Jerry Gonzalez said foul play was not suspected.
