SENTENCING DELAYED AGAIN FOR FLORIDA PONZI SCAM WIFE
 
Sentencing has been delayed again for the wife of convicted South Florida Ponzi scammer Scott Rothstein to allow more time for her to cooperate with prosecutors in the case. Kim Rothstein was supposed to be sentenced in mid-July. But a federal judge recently agreed for a second time to give her a few more months so she can testify against others implicated in the $1.2 billion scam.
 
MAN SUES CRACKER BARREL OLD COUNTRY STORE
 
A man has filed a discrimination lawsuit against Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in federal court, saying that he was discriminated against because he is gay. John Bostick filed the lawsuit May 17 in Tampa. He was hired by Cracker Barrel in 2008 a manager trainee and worked at one of the company's restaurants in Bradenton, Fla.
 
RECORD RIDERSHIP ON METRORAIL DURING HEAT WIN
 
The Miami Heat championship game brought a record number of Metrorail passengers to downtown Miami. A Miami-Dade Transit statement released Monday said that ridership soared over 75 percent above the average weekday ridership recorded for the first three weeks of June. And on June 24th, the NBA game brought the celebration day's total to over 117,000.
 
2 SERIOUSLY INJURED IN PARASAILING CRASH
 
Officials say at least two people were seriously injured when a parasail crashed in Panama City Beach. The Bay County Sheriff's Office reports that a parasail had been attached to a boat Monday afternoon when the line broke. The parasail crashed into a nearby parking lot.
 
NY MAN GETS TIME SERVED IN FLORIDA HOTEL HEIR'S DEATH
 
A New York man who admitted being the driver for two other men in the beating death of a Florida millionaire was sentenced Monday to time served in connection to the 2009 killing. Denis Ramirez was sentenced in federal court in White Plains. A spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office said Ramirez's cooperation with the government in its investigation into the death of hotel heir Ben Novack Jr. was cited at his sentencing.

FORT LAUDERDALE POLICE LOOKING FOR MAN WHO ABDUCTED GIRL

Fort Lauderdale Police were searching for a man who abducted a 9-year-old girl on Monday, but she was able to escape. The girl was walking in the area of NW 9th Avenue and NW 2nd Street when the man grabbed her and threw her into his car.
