FLORIDA WOMAN WHO FIRED GUN AT HUSBAND GETS NEW TRIAL
 
An appeals court has ruled Jacksonville mother of three Marissa Alexander will get a new trial, though she will not be able to invoke a "stand your ground" defense. Alexander is serving 20 years in prison for firing a shot at her estranged husband during an argument.
 
FLORIDA WOMAN CLAIMING PSYCHIC POWERS GUILTY OF FRAUD
 
A South Florida woman has been convicted by a jury of multiple charges in what prosecutors called a long-running $40 million scam. Testimony showed Rose Marks convinced people money was the source of evil and that they should give her cash and valuables to be cleansed and returned. Most were not.
 
APPEAL DENIED FOR CONDEMNED FLORIDA KILLER GORE
 
A Miami federal judge has denied the latest appeal by convicted killer Marshall Lee Gore, whose execution by lethal injection is set for next week. U.S. District Judge Donald Graham agreed the Florida Supreme Court was reasonable in finding Gore's claims of insanity were unfounded.
 
LAKELAND POLICE OFFICER ARRESTED ON 3 CHARGES
 
Lakeland police officer Julio Pagan has been charged with armed sexual battery by a law enforcement officer and armed aggravated stalking. Authorities say Pagan met a woman while responding to a call in July and returned in response to another call in August. Investigators say he pressured the woman for sex.
 
LEE COUNTY DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY
 
Officials in Lee County have declared a state of emergency after days of rain has caused road damage. The county has had as much as 9 inches of rain over the past few days.

FINAL GOODBYE FOR BSO DEPUTY WHO DIED AFTER I-95 CRASH

A Broward Sheriff's deputy who died after sustaining injuries in a violent crash on I-95 will be laid to rest Friday. The funeral for Deputy Daniel Rivera is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Calvary Chapel at 2401 W. Cypress Creek Road in Fort Lauderdale.
