MAN SET TO BE EXECUTED FOR PRISON GUARD'S MURDER
 
The leader of an escape attempt that left a prison guard dead is set to be executed in Florida. William Van Poyck is scheduled to die Wednesday evening at Florida State Prison for the 1987 murder of guard Fred Griffis.
 
MAN CHARGED WITH SELLING NURSE SHARKS
 
A California man accused of selling young nurse sharks over the Internet faces charges in South Florida. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami reported Tuesday that 43-year-old Dean Trinh, of Milpitas, Calif., has been arrested and made his initial court appearance in California.
 
FLORIDA LEGISLATIVE LEADERS HIT THE ROAD AGAIN
 
Florida's two legislative leaders are hitting the road again to tout the recent session. Senate President Don Gaetz and House Speaker Will Weatherford are scheduled to make stops Wednesday and Thursday in the state's Panhandle, including Pensacola and Panama City.
 
ACLU: PILL MILL DATABASE LEAKED PATIENT INFO
 
The American Civil Liberties Union says a statewide database aimed at cracking down on the state's pill mills leaked thousands of patients' personal information, even though some of the details were not part of any criminal investigation. The information was given to Volusia County prosecutors and defense attorneys who were working on six criminal cases.
 
FAMILY OF LATE CUBAN DISSIDENT FLIES TO MIAMI
 
Relatives of the late Cuban dissident Oswaldo Paya are settling in Miami as ``political refugees.'' A spokesman for the Christian Liberation Movement says the dissident's wife, two children and other relatives arrived by plane from Havana on Thursday.

PRESIDENT OBAMA VISITS MIAMI

President Barack Obama will travel to Miami Wednesday to attend fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee.
