Substitute Teacher at Volusia County Elementary School Taken Off Campus After Claiming to Hear Voices

A second-grade substitute teacher was ordered off campus and told to stay away after claiming she heard voices outside her classroom.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports the teacher told Volusia County Sheriff's deputies she could hear people yelling and cursing outside the classroom on Friday. She also talked about the CIA and FBI after the principal of Pride Elementary School in Deltona removed her from the classroom.

The principal spoke with students in the classroom, but none of them heard an altercation or saw anything unusual.

The teacher told deputies the drug-dealing, identity-stealing suspects had followed her from Georgia.

Officials told the teacher not to return to the school. Deputies say the teacher was sent away in a taxi.
