Archdiocese of Miami Adds Flights to Cuba

The Archdiocese of Miami has arranged to add more flights out of South Florida's airports to Cuba in concurrence with the Pope's visit to the island.

The Archdiocese of Miami announced Friday it has arranged for additional flights to Cuba for those who'd like to go during Pope Benedict XVI's visit in late March.

The archdiocese said in a press release that additional flights are now available departing from Fort Lauderdale March 24, and from Miami March 25 and 27.

According to Fox News Latino, Archbishop Thomas Wenski is expected to be on a flight from Miami to the island's eastern city on March 26 along with 300 other pilgrims.

His Holiness is scheduled to arrive in Santiago de Cuba on March 26. His visit comes in 2012 Jubilee Year to mark the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the image of the Virgin of Charity, the island's patron saint.
