Cold-Stressed Turtles Return to Sea in Florida

Loggerheads airlifted to Florida from Massachusetts to be released in Juno Beach

Wildlife officials say two loggerhead sea turtles airlifted to Florida from frigid waters off Massachusetts are ready to return to the Atlantic Ocean.

The turtles were among several dozen sea turtles that got stranded when temperatures in Cape Cod Bay suddenly dropped. New England Aquarium rescued the turtles and sent them to recover at marine life rehabilitation facilities in Florida.
