Deer Sculptures Stolen From Wynwood Walls

Artist's sculptures stolen from Miami's Wynwood Walls

There's a deer hunt going on in Miami, but you won't need binoculars or an orange vest.

Three life-size deer sculptures were stolen from the Wynwood Walls art project at Northwest 2nd Avenue and 25th Street.

The painted deer, which were designed by artist Ron English, were discovered missing on Tuesday morning, said Lauren Bushsinger, spokeswoman for Goldman Properties, which owns Wynwood Walls.

"They're really an integral part of the Wynwood Walls," Bushsinger told NBC 6 Thursday. "Everyone's really displeased by this."

Bushsinger said the police have been contacted and are investigating the disappearance of the deer.

A $500 reward is being offered by nearby Wynwood Kitchen and Bar for the safe return of the sculptures. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at info@wynwoodkitchenandbar.com.
