Deputies are investigating at the 2900 block of Southwest 30th Avenue in Pembroke Park.

The Broward Sheriff's office is investigating after a train struck and killed a pedestrian Sunday morning.

The collision happened at 7:30 a.m. on the 2900 block of Southwest 30th Avenue in Pembroke Park, according to a tweet from BSO.

The northbound tracks were expected to be closed until noon. Officials said passengers were on the train at the time of the crash, but it was not clear how many or if there were additional injuries.

Deputies did not immediately release further details.
