Dolphins Blame Media For Bush-Bell Spat

According to Dolphins, there is more than one way to interpret the statement, "He stinks"

The Miami Dolphins are through fighting with each other, and have united against a common opponent: the media.

Apparently, when someone says one of his teammates stinks, he means something entirely different, which does not reflect upon the actual target of that statement. The Dolphins are as bad at rhetoric as they are at football.

Yeremiah Bell said Thursday that he was quoted out of context when he said "He stinks," in response to Reggie Bush saying "This team stinks" earlier in the week.

"It was taken out of context a little bit," Bell said. "Maybe I worded it wrong." You think?

"It was not me speaking directly towards Reggie in any way. It was just anybody who would talk about their team like that. It was more based on their attitude, not talking to the person himself."

So to paraphrase, anyone who would say what Reggie Bush said stinks, but Reggie Bush does not stink. Gee, we can't believe everyone couldn't decipher that circuitous logic based on a two-word statement.

Bell went on to insinuate that the media is trying to drive a wedge through the Dolphins locker room. "We know we're not doing very well right now, and we know there's outside influences trying to, kind of, break us apart, but we're not buying into that."

Bush got in on the act too, tweeting Thursday, "When your [sic] 0-6, it's easy for the media to create something out of nothing. Miami Dolphins are sticking together and believe in one another."

The Dolphins may want to rethink their "the media is trying to sabotage us" stance. Why would the Dolphins need any help in sabotage? They seem to be doing a pretty good job of it on their own.
