Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed an elderly woman in Davie Monday.
Rita Chiero, 86, was walking east in the 5200 block of Southwest 33rd Street in the west bound lane when she was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle just before 10:30 a.m., police said.

Chiero, who lives nearby, was rushed to Broward General Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The vehicle fled the scene and now police are looking for information to help solve the crime. Anyone with info is asked to call Davie Police at 954-693-8200.
