A prisoner escaped Miami-Dade Police in the area of Southwest 7th Street and 73rd Avenue during a criminal investigation at about 10 a.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
After a large-scale search within the county, police found the prisoner five miles away at Kendall Regional Hospital.
A woman gave the man a ride to the hospital, aerial footage showed, but it wasn't clear who she was or if she knew the man. Officials did not release any more information on the incident Wednesday.
