Florida Man, 21, Struck and Killed by Train

Authorities believe the crash was an accident.

A 21-year-old man died when a train hit him while he was walking on the railroad tracks wearing headphones.

Witnesses told authorities the train's crew blew the horn, rang bells and braked before hitting Anton J. Burden on Wednesday afternoon.

The Ocala Star-Banner reports that authorities continue to investigate the incident, but they believe it was an accident.

Officials were told Burden often walked home on the tracks.

CSX Corporation spokeswoman Kristin Seay says the train had 65 cars that were hauling mixed freight as it headed from Waycross, Ga., to Miami. She says the company urges people to stay off the tracks.
