A confrontation early Sunday morning led a Miami police officer to shoot and kill a man said to have been armed with a knife.
Drew Randolph Pozdol, 26, was shot in the 1600 block of Northwest 27th Avenue about 1:47 a.m., according to the Miami Police Department.
It is not yet known what let to the confrontation, in which the officer was unhurt.
Pozdol has a criminal record that includes arrests for robbery, assault and resisting an officer with violence, according to MPD officials.
