LeBron James and Udonis Haslem Talk About Tim Tebow's Future

Miami Heat stars talk about Tim Tebow's future during a charity event

It has been quite an exciting (or well confusing) couple of days for the city of Miami.

On March 7, Peyton Manning’s private jet arrived at the Opa-Locka airport giving us maybe he was joining the Miami Dolphins. A few days later, he signed with the Denver Broncos, which put Tim Tebow on the market. Would he be coming to the Magic City?

With the loss of Manning, there were rumors Tebow was on our horizon. Early Wednesday afternoon, headlines read that that the former Florida Gator was headed to the Jets. There went Miami’s dream once again, only till the contract fell through and he was once again looking for a new football home.

Around midnight Thursday morning, it was official that the deal was back on for Tebow and New York. But earlier that night, there was hope he might be coming to the 305.

“I am Gator, of course I hope he joins the Dolphins,” Udonis Haslem told us at the Miami Heat Charitable Fund Gala held at the home of Mike Fernandez. “There is always hope. I am a Tim Tebow fan. I am a fan of a guy who is a winner. Wherever he is, I will root for him,” he continued.

Teammate, LeBron James, also had thoughts on Tebow’s future.

“He is a good friend of mine. I just want him to be happy,” said James, “This is a great city. Anyone who is an athlete, this is a great city to represent. The Dolphins, the Marlins or the Heat, we welcome with open arms."

But what the one-third of the Dream Team was really focused on that night was a charity close to his heart, The Miami Heat Charitable Fund.

“I am a part of the Heat Family. Whatever they do, I am happy to be a part of. Anytime you get an opportunity to give back and be a part of something special, I am humbled. “
