Neighbor Mickey Davis lives below the apartment and said she heard the door being kicked in.

"I got woken up this morning by a bunch of banging, it sounded like earthquakes," Davis said. She said she also heard some of the exchanges between the woman and her ex-husband.

"He was talking to her about how he was going to die and he was saying good bye to her," Davis said. "She's screaming to him wake up, because at some point he stopped talking to her."

Detectives with the BSO are still investigating the shooting.
