Man's Body Found Outside Aventura Mall

Police investigating after woman finds body near Bloomingdale's

Police say a man whose body was found outside the Bloomingdale's store at Aventura Mall early Monday committed suicide.

Aventura Police say they received a 911 call around 1:10 a.m. from a woman who said she was walking to her car when she noticed an unresponsive man lying on the road outside the store at 19501 Biscayne Boulevard.

When police responded, they discovered the man was already dead. The only visible injury to his body was a laceration to the back of his head.

After reviewing surveillance footage, police said they found the man had jumped from the mall's parking garage and ruled the death a suicide. The man hasn't been identified.

Police described the man as a white Latin male, 20-25 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, 160 pounds with dark eyes and short dark curly hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with green lettering and plaid shorts and had no unusual marks or tattoos on his body.
