Miami Heat Open Training Camp

Friday is the first allowable day for training camp following the end of the lockout.

For the first time since losing the NBA finals, the Miami Heat are back on the court.

The Heat opened training camp Friday, the first allowable day following the end of the five-month lockout. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are starting their second season together, with many of the same faces back from the reigning Eastern Conference champs.

After sweeping changes in the summer of 2010, the start of this year's signing period was relatively tame for the Heat.

Point guard Mario Chalmers said Friday he's going to sign a new deal with the team, while forwards James Jones and Juwan Howard planned on completing agreements on Friday as well. A day before camp, free agent forward Shane Battier said he was signing with Miami.
