An 11-year-old Dania Beach girl who had been reported missing was found alive and well late Monday night.
Ashley Verney was found walking in the 3100 block of Stirling Road, hours after she had been reported missing, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Deputies had begun searching for Verney after she was reported missing around 2:20 p.m. from the mobile home park where she lives in the 5100 block of Southwest 30th Avenue.
A be-on-the-lookout alert was issued in three counties as authorities searched by ground and air for Verney after she didn't return from checking the mail.
Foul play hadn't been suspected in her disappearance, the BSO said.
